Abstract

This study investigated the impact of Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Gross
Profit Margin (GPM), Earnings Per Share (EPS), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on stock prices of automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019-2023. Using a quantitative associative approach, secondary data from 8 selected automotive manufacturing companies (out of 13) were analyzed with IBM SPSS version 26. The analysis included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, multiple correlation (R), simultaneous determination (R 2 ), and hypothesis testing (F-test and t-test). Results indicated that ROE, NPM, GPM, EPS, and DER simultaneously and significantly influence stock prices (p<0.05, F-statistic = 15.024). However, only EPS showed a significant positive partial influence on stock prices (p<0.05, t-statistic = 7.840). ROE, NPM, GPM, and DER did not individually have a significant partial impact. The independent variables explained 68.8% of the variation in stock prices (R2 = 0.688), with other factors accounting for the remaining 31.2%.
