Abstract
Problems in the development of cauliflower plants are aspects of soil fertility, namely the low pH of the soil and the availability of nutrient factors in the soil and air such as temperature and altitude. To estimate this, the soil used as a planting medium needs to be given organic fertilizer in the form of rice extract. The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of the right dose of rice extract on the growth and yield of cauliflower plants (Brassica oleraceae var. Botrytis L.). The procedure used in this research is the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) procedure. As the treatment, the dose of rice extract consisted of 5 levels of treatment: b0= without rice extract, b1= rice extract as much as 2 grams/plant, b2= rice extract as much as 4 grams/plant, b3= rice extract as much as 6 grams/plant, b4 = 8 grams of rice extract/plant. Based on the results of field observations carried out, Pontianak City on March 1, 2022 to July 2, 2022, it can be concluded as follows: With the treatment, it showed a very significant reaction to the size of the plant, flower diameter and wet weight of cauliflower, but did not affect the volume of the base. This is predicted to occur because there are other factors that affect plant development, such as unfavorable air and the presence of pests and diseases in plants.
