Abstract

Shallots (Allium ascalonicum) is one type of vegetable that has many benefits and has high economic value. The demand for fresh shallots for household and industrial consumption continues to increase every year. Efforts to increase the production of shallots need to be done, one of which is by utilizing peat land as shallot cultivation land. Peat soil has limitations in the form of low availability of nutrients, especially potassium. One way that can be done to increase the productivity of peatlands is by applying potassium fertilizer and adding manure. Research Objectives 1) To determine the effect of the interaction of K dose and manure on the growth and yield of shallots on peatlands. 2). Obtaining the best combination of K doses for growth and yield of shallots on peatlands. 3). Knowing the effect of the type of manure on the growth and yield of shallots. The research method used a factorial Completely Randomized Design with the first factor being potassium (K) and the second factor being manure treatment (P). The results showed that the K dose treatment had no significant effect on all observed variables. There was no interaction between the treatment dose of K and the type of manure in all observation variables. The type of manure treatment significantly affected all variables except the number of leaves 2 weeks after planting and the number of tubers.
