Abstract

Peanut cultivation can be improved by using biofertilizers by using the biological seed treatment technique which is a coating technique on the seeds of plants that contain microbes that are used to control pests, diseases or for fertilization. Seed coating which is also called seed coating containing this research contains rhizobium bacteria, where when the seeds germinate, the rhizobium bacteria contained in the seed coating can directly infect plant roots so that the roots of many plants are expected to have root nodules containing rhizobium bacteria. The results show that the biological seed treatment technique that uses rhizobium bacteria in peanut plants can increase the growth of peanut plants with the highest average plant height in P4 treatment and the highest average stem diameter in P2 treatment. The biological seed treatment technique that uses rhizobium bacteria also increases the number of pods in the pods and the dry weight of pods on peanut plants with the highest average in P4 treatment.
