Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of durian peel compost and auxin plant growth regulator (PGR) on shoot initiation in pepper plants. The study was conducted in Semade Village, Banyuke Hulu District, Landak Regency. The study was conducted from May to July 2020, using a factorial randomized block design with two factors. Factor 1 was durian peel compost, consisting of four treatment levels: K0 = no treatment (control), K1 = 50 grams/polybag, K2 = 100 grams/polybag, and K3 = 150 grams/polybag. Factor 2 was auxin plant growth regulator (PGR) with two treatment levels: A1 = 2 cc of auxin plant growth regulator (PGR) per liter of water, A2 = 4 cc of auxin plant growth regulator (PGR). The results showed that the application of durian peel compost and auxin plant growth regulator (PGR) had no significant effect on all observed parameters, including growth percentage, plant height, number of leaves, and number of roots.
