Abstract

The surge of Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia decline the income from cultivation of milkfish. This is due to the difficult marketing access, higher milkfish fry prices. and declining selling price. The research determined the effect of Covid-19 outbreak on income derived from milkfish cultivation in Sarang Burung Danau Village, Jawai District. This quantitative research used descriptive quantitative method for data collection, analysis, and conclusion drawing. Techniques for data collection were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Before the pandemic, the income of 35 respondents from milkfish cultivation was 1,251,765,000 rupiahs while during the pandemic it was decreased to 992,340,000 rupiahs. It decrease 21% in one production. T-test shows a significanct result of 0.001 that is less than the significant level (α=0.05). H1 is accepted that the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the income from milkfish cultivation. The positive t-count is 3.719 shows that the income before the Covid-19 pandemic was higher than during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the income of milkish cultivation in Sarang Burung Danau Village, Jawai District.
