Abstract

Duck in Indonesia is one of the livestock that has the potential to be developed as a producer of eggs and meat which acts as a source of income, opens up job opportunities and is useful for meeting animal needs. The demand for duck eggs in West Kalimantan continues to increase because duck eggs have become an alternative to cheap protein for the community. Duck eggs are also made into salted eggs, raw materials for cakes, bread, and other food raw materials so that the laying duck business continues to open up business opportunities among small and medium enterprises. Mr. Dilhan is a duck farming businessman who already has 1,200 laying ducks. The type of duck that he keeps is the Mojosari duck. The efforts made by Mr. Dilhan have never been calculated whether the profits obtained are in accordance with the costs incurred. The purpose of this study was to determine whether Mr. Dilhan's duck farming business was feasible. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The object of this research is Mr. Dilhan's duck farm. Based on the calculation of the feasibility analysis of the laying duck business, the intensive duck farming business in Sempadu Village, Teluk Keramat District, is feasible because the R/C Ratio with a value of 1.65, Production BEP 183,154 eggs/year and BEP Price Rp 1.393/item , and a payback period of 1 year, 3 months, 2 days.
