ANALISIS KELAYAKAN PEMANFAATAN DANAU KURAPAN DI DESA SEPANTAI KECAMATAN SEJANGKUNG

Abstract

Lake Kurapan, located in Sepantai Village, Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency has three functions: ecology, social, and economy. Basically, the quality of the waters of Lake Kurapan is greatly influenced by human activities, especially human settlements, livestock, agriculture, and water transportation activities. The use of the lake should be controlled properly to preserve it. This descriptive quantitative study used survey. Financial feasibility was used for data analysis. Seeing the potential, threats, and prospects for community empowerment, conducting a study on the feasibility of Kurapan Lake use as an ecotourism area is essential as desired by the local community. To maximize the use of Kurapan lake ecotourism is an effort to preserve the lake ecosystem and increase the community income. The data were analyzed using financial analysis with assessment indicators, namely Net Present Value, Internal Rate Return, Net Benefit Cost Ratio, Payback period and sensitivity analysis. The results revealed the feasibilty of ecotourism business of Kurapan Lake.
