ANALISIS TINGKAT LITERASI KEUANGAN DAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHINYA PADA KARYAWAN PERBANKAN DI PONTIANAK

Abstract

Good financial management has a good influence on the level of the economy of the community. At present every community is expected to be able to have a good level of financial literacy in financial management. Financial Literacy is a knowledge, skills, and beliefs that influence attitudes and behaviors to improve the quality of decision making and financial management in order to achieve prosperity. Financial literacy is not only applied to the general public, but also must be applied to banking employees. This research uses Purposive Sampling method. Purposive Sampling Method is one of the techniques in determining sampling by specifying specific characteristics that are suitable with the objectives of the study so that it is expected to answer the research problems. The data collection method in this research is a questionnaire distributed to banking employees who have a maximum working period of 3 years. The total respondents in this study were 150 respondents from 5 banks that own the most branches, namely Bank BPD West Kalimantan, Bank BRI, Bank BNI, Bank Mandiri and Bank BCA. The questionnaire in this study contains positive and negative statements and includes 4 important aspects, namely aspects of general knowledge of finance, savings and loans, insurance and investment. Data obtained through questionnaires will be analyzed using the regression analysis method with the stepwise (regression binary logistics) method. The results showed that the average of financial literacy rate of banking employees is 59%, and it tended be a good level of literacy.
